AAAF has secured honour student Louise Borg from the University of Victoria under the guidance of Associate Professor. Gerard A. Kennedy to complete her thesis on, “How to cope living with Alopecia Areata”. Our resolve is to have some answers at the end of this research that can assist us with providing strategies to the 12-25 age group, (focus is on youths) regardless of gender. The initial discussions are to run a qualitative survey and a quantitative study. The 5 focal headings will be: Self Esteem, Body Image, Quality of Life, Anxiety and depression.
